On the way home from Anderson, I asked Breydon how is day went... He says, "Well, Mom. I had fun, but I’m just not gonna talk about it."

When Breydon was at Mom and Dad’s house, I called to check in... He started telling me what he was doing and then as fast as he could he said, "Oh, No. I’ve gotta go. I’ve gotta see this. Talk to you later. Bye." He wanted to watch the monkey that was on the TV.

Breydon has been watching the Powerpuff Girls. He loves them. John told him that he couldn’t tell anyone that he was watching them. Then John said, "Bubby, why do you like to watch the Powerpuff Girls?" Bubby said, "Well, Dad, because they save the day!!!

Breydon went to Uncle Kent’s house to play with the kids. I had realized when he came home that I had put shorts on him that had a zipper and a button. I wondered if he had any trouble using the restroom. I said, "Buddy, did you use the restroom at Uncle Kent’s house?" He said, "Yes." I said, "Did you have any trouble with your shorts?" He said (in his very serious tone and with his dramatic hands), "Well, I went to the "baffroom" and I pulled them down and then I pottied and then I couldn’t get them up so all my friends helped me!" I’m glad he’s made such good friends! ha

GAME NIGHT

Last night, we had "Game Night." We enjoyed teaching Breydon how to play Uno. I found a "My First Uno" card set with Mickey Mouse characters and he loves it!He was quick to pick up the game, but we're still struggling with learning that you can't always win... This is the face that lasted several minutes after a loss.

Guess we have more work to do!

I thought John was giving Breydon a bath. Look what I found when I walked in the bathroom!

Best Buddies

BRRRRRRRRRR....

Breydon got out of the tub the other night and said, "Daddy it's too cold!" John wrapped a towel around him to keep him warm. When I walked in the bathroom he looked at me with this face and said, "Shiver me Timbers!" Where does he get this stuff?

ROUGH 4TH OF JULY

We didn't have quite the 4th of July that we expected. Breydon was very sick with a bad cold/sinus infection. This one seemed to linger on for almost 2 weeks. We were very disappointed that we couldn't spend time with the family, but we did have a great show around our neighborhood that we could watch from our garage. We also watched the fireworks on TV. Maybe it was somewhat of a blessing because he really freaked out about them last year.

I started to worry when he just didn't seem to be getting any better. I decided to take him to the doctor just to make sure there wasn't any other problems. He was actually excited to go to the doctor! That will probably be the first and last time being that he has to have shots again this year! When the nurse came in Breydon said..

Breydon: Well, Hi, there. What's your name?
Nurse: Well, my name is Debbie. How are you feeling?
Breydon: Well, I'm okay, but sometimes I'm not so good.
Nurse: Well, let's just check you out and see what is going on? Can you tell me what you favorite cartoon is? I like Mickey Mouse!
Breydon: Oh, you like Mickey Mouse too!
Nurse: I do! Which one is your favorite?
Breydon: Well, I like all of them. I saw them in Disney and we...(he went on, and on, and on...

Nurse Exits...In Comes Doctor:
Doctor: Well, hi, Breydon!
Breydon: How did you know my name? Mommy, he knows my name!

We explained his symptoms with a commentator in the background:

Doctor to us: Has he had a fever?
Breydon chiming in: Oh, yeah, I had one of the those. Is that bed? I had a sore "froat" too, but I laid up in the bed and that made me better.
Doctor to us: Well, I don't think he has an infection...
Breydon: I have a "fection." Oh, No...A "fection"?

I could go on and on... Needless to say, it was quite comical. I'm happy to report that he's doing much better now!
