IS IT REALLY DECEMBER?
Well, as you know the Indiana weather can be very unpredictable...but 68 degrees on December 27??? Unreal! Bubby took advantage of the warm weather and decided to mow our lawn!
SANTA CAME TO TOWN!
We had a wonderful Christmas! I couldn't have asked for anything more! Breydon was so much fun this year. To see the excitement in his eyes made it all worth it! Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us continue our Christmas traditions with you. I cherish all of the memories that I had as a child and I am so glad that we can pass them along to Breydon. Thank you to everyone for the great gifts, but know that we know the reason for the season and what made our Christmas so special was spending time with you. We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and we look forward to a wonderful New Year in 2009!

UNCLE LANE
LETTER TO SANTA
We're a little late this year, but Santa is always listening and watching, right? Breydon and I sat down and wrote his letter to Santa. He was so excited!
Dear Santa,
This is Breydon. I've been a good boy this year. Will you please bring me tools, cars, an airport, and a white Colts jersey? On Christmas we will be at Mamaw and Papaw's house in Anderson where the Nestle Bunny lives and where we find towers. Please bring my presents to Mamaw and Papaw's house and we'll have milk and cookies ready for you and salt and pepper for Rudolph. I'm glad that I got to see you at Walmart. Please tell Mrs. Claus that I said hello. Merry Christmas! Love, Breydon
He's getting so big...breaks my heart! We hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas!!!!!

SOCCER FUN!
As you know, Breydon started soccer class every Tuesday night in Pendleton. He loves it! They not only teach the kids soccer skills, but they run through obstacle courses, run several laps (remember he tells me he's "going long"), play with the parachute and learn eye/hand coordination skills. Of course, his favorite part is the bounce house jumping for the last 10 minutes! It's very good for him. We enjoy spending the time with him too! If you want a good laugh, come watch John think he's a good soccer player. It's quite amusing! ha

Elf on the Shelf
Aunt Chandra told us all about "The Elf on the Shelf." Since hearing about this elf, we have adopted one as a new member of our family and our new family tradition. Bubby named him "Christmas"...pretty clever, huh? ha The book about our new family member states that Christmas sits somewhere in our home to watch Bubby all day during the holiday season. At night, he flies to the North Pole and tells Santa whether Breydon has been naughty or nice. Although Christmas doesn't speak and we can't touch him (because he'll lose his magic!), he is a good observer and tends to help us out when Breydon begins to act like a typical boy! Breydon enjoys our search each morning for Christmas' new spot in our house for the day. Wouldn't you need a comfy spot to sit in after such long, cold flights each night? To all the parents out there...this has been a good investment!!! :) Now...where we can find a "Christmas" for January through November?
Clean Bill of Health!
Bubby had his 3rd year well visit on Wednesday. He has finally gained weight! He is 6.5 lbs heavier than a year ago! He is also 38.5 inches tall! As soon as Dr. Rob walked into the room Bubby said, "Don't you tickle me!" Dr. Rob got a good laugh out of that one. He let Bubby play with the instruments and Bubby loved it. He was being so good...I was so proud. Dr. Rob was proud of him too and said that he was doing "excellent." I was extremely nervous and upset because I knew he was going to have to get his flu shot! I told him he was going to have to get some medicine in his leg and that it would just pinch for a minute...if he was a good boy, Mommy had a surprise for him! He was so excited! My heart was breaking... The nurse brought the shot in and he just stared at it. He sat there like a good boy. Mom and I could not get his attention on anything else. Bubby just looked at the shot like it was just another eyedropper for medicine. When the shot went in his leg he yelled and looked at me with a look of "how could you do this to me?" Oh, it killed me! I tried to give him a new Disney car and he wouldn't have it. He was mad! I felt horrible. He finally calmed down a little bit on the way home. However, when John called him to see how he did, he started telling John about the shot and started crying as if it was happening all over again! We've been through much worse in his first 2 years of his life, but these shots still get me. I just love him so much...it's so hard to see your child in pain...even if it's just for a split second! Hopefully, we won't have to deal with this again until next year! Now...I just have to make myself get my shot soon! Maybe Bubby will hold my hand! ha

Fun with Dad
Breydon likes to listen to John and I talk about work. He will often pick up a file and tell us that he has to meet with his clients. He also asks lots of questions about what we do all day.

Yesterday was a big day for Breydon. John did not have to work in Kokomo, but he had some filings to do for his private practice. Breydon was so excited that he was going to the "courthouse" (it was actually just a small claims court). He walked into the court office and told the ladies that he wanted to see the Judge. I guess they all got a kick out of him and the Judge even came out to meet him and gave him a sucker. He was in heaven. He also told the staff all about how the leaves have fallen off the trees and that means that winter is coming, that the birds fly south for the winter because it's warm, etc. I'll bet he talked their ears off!
Then he had the big treat of going to the new airport which he described as "HUGE" and "Donalds" for lunch.
Thanks, Dad, for making it a special day. I know he loves hanging out with Dad.

Bubbyisms...
When we were trick-or-treating, Bubby would tell some people that he didn’t like their candy...embarrassing!!! He didn’t get that he couldn’t be choosy that night. Hope we won’t have to move soon!
We were on our way to Anderson for Mamaw’s birthday dinner. Bubby asked John how long it would take to get to Anderson. Instead of giving Breydon a time, John said, "Well, Buddy, it’s about 20 miles." Bubby said, "Twenty Miles...FOR CRYIN’ OUT LOUD!" We cracked up. Is that Mamaw or what?
Breydon started his soccer class. The teacher asked the kids to tell him their names and what they liked to do. Breydon was the first one to start. He said, "I’m Breydon." Then he looked up at me and said, "Mom, what do I like to do?"
At soccer class, Breyon was running all over the field yelling, "Mom and Dad, I’m going long..." Uh, wrong sport...
When we get on Breydon for doing something that he shouldn’t be doing, we always say, "Breydon Michael"...and he’ll say, "Eisele!" At soccer class, the boy next to Breydon said his name was Michael. Breydon looked at him...interrupted the kid...and says, "Eisele!" ...as if the kid was playing a game with him...
Just a few I thought I’d share...I’m sure they’ll be more to come when my memory kicks in!
