"Darts"
Breydon asked me what I was doing. I pointed to this blog page. He said, "Mommy, we were at Donalds!" I said, "Yes, we were buddy." Then he pointed to all of the circles on the page and said, "Mommy, what are all of those 'darts'? I no like the darts [dots]." We can't always please...
It's The Little Things That Mean The Most!

Since having my sinus surgery, I've been in a lot of pain. Breydon (unintentionally) is in the habit of throwing his head back in an instant reaction (hence the black left eye that I have right now!). So, needless to say, I've been paranoid and afraid to be too close. It breaks my heart!
Every Saturday, John and I take Breydon to Gymboree. He absolutely loves his class. I think that he really learns alot and it helps him to be around other children. He hasn't mastered the art of "sharing" just yet, but he's working on it. Last week he gave Saylor, another 2 year old in his class, a car and he looked right at me and said, "Mom, I shared." I was so proud!
Anyway, John had a buddy fly in from NY to play golf today, so I wanted quality "Mommy and me" time. I knew I couldn't take him to Gymboree by myself because I was too afraid of being kicked in the face or of having a flying ball hit me right in the nose. Gymboree is fun, but it can be dangerous for the adults!
I didn't have much money (running low until payday) so I was trying to think of something fun that we could do together. The last time that I took Breydon to the library he loved it. So, I new he'd be thrilled to go to the "Wibary" and "Donalds" while Dad played golf.
When we went to the library, Breydon was in search of the book "Calliou." I asked the librarian where we should begin our search. She took us right to the books and Breydon yells, "Mommy. She found it!" Then he said, "Thank you." I was so proud that he said "thank you" when I didn't have to tell him to do so. He's pretty good about that. We found 5 books and a DVD of Rollie Polie Olie. He then said, "Mom, we go eat jello now?" I said, "No Breydon, we're going to 'Donalds', remember?" He said, "Yes, Mom." The librarian wished me luck in finding jello at Donalds.
We had our usual... Bubby's chicken nuggets with an extra side of apple dippers. He looked so grown up sitting across from me. It broke my heart! We had several conversations regardng anything from where Ronald McDonald lives to why his french fry was hanging or being "lazy." All in all, it was a great date. I truly enjoy these cherished moments with him. I work so much that I live for days like these... Oh, on the way home it finally hit me why he said he wanted jello. Several months ago when he had the flu, we had rented Rollie Polie and he sat our on our bed and ate jello. This kid has the best memory! So, guess what we did when we got home? I just love him!
