The Elf on the Shelf that Breydon named "Elf" last year has finally arrived at the Eisele household! Mommy and Daddy could not be more thrilled! Breydon was so excited that he couldn't stand it! We shared the Elf on the Shelf story during our story time and as soon as we were done Breydon said (while jumping up and down), "I'll be really good all the time!" Well, let's just keep our fingers crossed!ha :) John said, "Can we find something that we can keep year round?" ha We started this tradition last year and loved it! For those of you who don't know about the Elf on the Shelf, you should really get it for your child. As the story goes...The elf comes to live with you throughout the holiday season. Every night the elf flies to the north pole to report to Santa and tell him whether you've been naughty or nice. Then each morning, the elf lands in a new spot in your house. Every morning, we make sure to search for "Elf." The elf cannot talk to you, but he listens and smiles (per Santa's orders). You cannot touch the elf because he will lose his magic and will no longer be able to fly. He couldn't report to Santa about your day. I strongly suggest getting this for your young child. It has been a blast. We're looking forward to keeping this tradition for as long as we can!

Breydon just loved this last year and I can imagine how excited he was to do it again this year. John's right we need to think of something like this year round! HA!!! I can just see Bubby's eyes light up and be so excited over everything about Christmas. I remember those days. They are memories that always stick with you. I love you Bubby!!
