ALL IN A DAY OF GOLF...

It's FINALLY Spring!!! John and Breydon couldn't wait to get their feet on the golf course. They had a ball!!!

All in a days work...

BUBBYISM...

John and Breydon tend to get into some "serious" conversations...also known as "bonding." I often get tickled when I overhear some of their "bonding" moments. Breydon said to John, "Daddy, I'm growing a beard. I think I need to shave." I had to turn my head when John looked at me with a look of "HELP ME" on this face. My first thought (after I laughed) was...I've got to hide all razors in our house! He cracks us up on a daily basis.

Uncle Lane, we just want to thank you again for placing our beautiful laminate flooring down in our house. You did a great job and we love it! Thank you for all of your hard work!

LOVED ONES...

Ever have those days when you just miss a loved one that passed away? I tend to have days like this...quite often. I was very close to my Grandma and Grandpa Badger. I miss them terribly. I have so many memories of them from my earliest memory to just six years ago.... They were always an important part of my life. I always make sure that I continue to talk about them so that Breydon will know them just as well as I did. We often talk about them. The other night, Breydon and I were discussing my favorite cake...carrot cake! My absolute favorite cake was my Grandma's carrot cake. I mentioned that to Bubby and he said, "Do you think she makes carrot cake in heaven?" I said, "I'll bet she makes all kinds of cakes in heaven!" He smiled. He said, "Mom, when can I see her...when I turn 100?" I said, "We'll all get to see her one day, Buddy. It will be a wonderful day!" He smiled. As he started to walk away he quickly turned around with a panicked look on his face and said, "Mom, I sure hope they have a Taco Bell in heaven." I had to turn my head to laugh. Then I said, "Buddy, from what I know, you can have anything you want when you're in heaven!"

The other morning, John was getting ready for work and out of the blue he said, "You know who got me this tie?" I just looked him and said, "No. Not sure..." He said, "Grandma Badger." I know this may seem silly, but that comment meant so much to me. The fact that he remembered that she bought him that particular tie and that he thinks of her when he puts it on is so precious to me. It brought tears to my eyes.

I'm very thankful for the time I was able to spend with my grandparents. And, I am grateful that my parents have the same type of relationship (if not even more) with Breydon.
